Comparing two minimally invasive heat treatments for early lung cancer

This trial compares two types of radiofrequency ablation (a heat-based treatment) for early-stage lung cancer that is located in the outer parts of the lung. Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You have a peripheral (outer part of the lung) lung cancer that is stage IA (small and hasn't spread).
  • Surgery is not an option for you, or you choose not to have surgery.
  • You are not taking blood thinners that cannot be paused for at least 5–7 days before the procedure.
  • You do not have severe bleeding problems, serious lung scarring, uncontrolled infections, or other major health issues that would make the procedure unsafe.
