Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must have stage IA non-small cell lung cancer (a small, early-stage tumor that has not spread to lymph nodes or elsewhere).
- Your tumor must be 3 cm or smaller in size.
- If you are in the ablation group, your tumor must be in the middle or outer part of the lung and smaller than 2.5 cm.
- If you are in the surgery group, your tumor may be larger (2.5 to 3 cm) or located in a spot that makes ablation unsafe.
- You must be fit enough for the procedure (anesthesia or surgery) and willing to participate.
