  • You are 19 years or older.
  • You are having planned same-day surgery (not staying overnight) on your nose, mouth, throat, or voice box.
  • You are healthy or have mild to moderate health conditions (classified as ASA I, II, or III).
  • You are not pregnant.
  • You do not have known allergies to the anesthetics used in this study.
  • You do not have acute narrow-angle glaucoma or severe liver disease (Child-Pugh class C).
