Empagliflozin for heart health in older adults

  • You are 60 years old or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with high blood pressure (hypertension).
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or higher.
  • You do not have diabetes (type 1 or type 2) and your blood sugar is well-controlled.
  • You have not been diagnosed with heart failure or have a history of heart valve problems.
