FDG PET/CT to predict EGFR mutation in lung cancer

This trial uses a special type of PET/CT scan (called FDG PET/CT) to see if it can predict whether your lung cancer has a specific gene change called EGFR mutation. If you have NSCLC and have already had an EGFR test, this study may help doctors find a less invasive way to check for that mutation in the future.

Who can take part

  • You must have non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must have had an EGFR mutation test (a test for a specific gene change in your cancer).
  • Your PET/CT scan must have been done within one month before or after your EGFR test.
  • You must not have started any cancer treatment before your EGFR test.
  • Your blood sugar level must be above 200 mg/dL at the time of the PET/CT scan.
