Citicoline for brain injury in newborns

Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy of Newborn

Part of Brain & nervous system clinical trials.

This trial tests if citicoline, a brain-protecting supplement, can help newborns with moderate to severe brain injury from lack of oxygen. It is for babies who have not gotten cooling treatment.

Citicoline for newborns with birth oxygen loss

This trial tests whether a medicine called citicoline can help newborns who had a brief lack of oxygen around birth, which can affect their brain. It aims to see if the medicine improves their recovery and brain blood flow.

NCT03949049Recruiting· Phase 3
Citi-coline for babies who had low oxygen at birth

This trial studies whether a medicine called citicoline can protect the brain in newborns who had low oxygen (hypoxia). It may help reduce brain injury in babies, but it does not include babies with a specific severe brain condition.

Caffeine for newborn brain injury after oxygen loss

This trial tests if giving caffeine to newborns who had low oxygen at birth can help protect their brains. It compares caffeine plus standard care to placebo plus standard care for moderate to severe hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).

Cooling treatment for newborns with brain injury from low oxygen

This trial is testing a treatment for newborns who had low oxygen around birth, leading to brain injury. It may help babies who did not get certain medicines before birth.

NCT07555652Recruiting
Cooling treatment for newborns with birth-related brain injury

This trial studies whether cooling a newborn's body after a difficult birth helps prevent brain damage. Researchers will track babies treated with this cooling therapy and use brain imaging to see how well it works.

CitiColine to help protect the brain in preterm babies

This Phase 3 study tests whether citicoline can act as a protective treatment for the brain in babies born early and needing breathing support. It may help reduce risks tied to prematurity and breathing complications by supporting the brain’s health.
