Survivin-targeted immune therapy for newly diagnosed glioblastoma

Who can take part

  • You must have a new diagnosis of glioblastoma (GBM) that is grade 4 (the most aggressive type), confirmed by a biopsy or surgery.
  • Your tumor must test positive for a protein called Survivin (done with a special lab test on your tumor sample).
  • You must have completed the standard 6 weeks of radiation with temozolomide chemotherapy, with at least 5 weeks of the chemo. (If you had surgery, this must have started within 50 days after surgery.)
  • You must be able to do most of your daily activities with little help (KPS score of 70 or higher).
  • You cannot take more than 2 mg of dexamethasone (a steroid) per day, or have taken more than 10 mg in a single dose in the last month.
  • You must not have other serious illnesses, infections (like HIV, hepatitis), or be pregnant or breastfeeding.
