  • You are a woman who has gone through menopause.
  • You have either a broken hip from osteoporosis or severe hip arthritis that needs a hip replacement.
  • You have not had any other fractures caused by weak bones before this one.
  • You do not have a serious heart, lung, autoimmune, or bladder condition.
