Who can take part

  • You had a stroke caused by a blood clot (not from your heart) within the last month.
  • An MRI scan shows tiny spots of old bleeding in your brain, called microbleeds.
  • You do not have a condition called cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) that causes brain bleeding.
  • You have not had a serious reaction to aspirin or cilostazol before.
  • You are not taking a strong blood thinner or need two antiplatelet drugs for more than a month.
