Who can take part

  • You are in the ICU and have moderate to severe ARDS (severe lung failure) with low oxygen levels.
  • You are on a breathing machine, sedated, and given muscle relaxants.
  • You are equipped with an EIT belt (a belt that checks lung function).
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You do not have a lung air leak (bronchopleural fistula).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
