Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have a thyroid nodule that was reported as Bethesda 3 (suspicious) on a fine-needle aspiration biopsy.
  • You have decided to have surgery to remove your thyroid (thyroidectomy).
  • You have had standard blood tests done (complete blood count) before surgery.
  • You agree to allow your tissue and blood sample to be tested for BRAF gene changes and used anonymously in research.
