Who can take part

  • You had a type of weight-loss surgery called Roux-en-Y gastric bypass.
  • You have symptoms like belly pain, nausea, vomiting, bleeding, or trouble swallowing.
  • An endoscopy (a camera test) has shown a sore called a marginal ulcer in your stomach or intestine.
  • You are willing to take standard ulcer medicine (proton pump inhibitors) and come for two check-up visits (4 weeks and 8 weeks after treatment).
  • You are not currently taking antibiotics by mouth or IV, not pregnant or breastfeeding, and not in another research study.
