Who can take part
- Your heart failure symptoms are moderate (class II or III) and you are on the best medications for your condition.
- Your heart's electrical signal (QRS) is normal or only slightly widened (130 ms or less).
- Your heart's pumping ability (ejection fraction) is 40% or less.
- You can walk between 200 and 500 meters in 6 minutes.
- Your blood tests for heart strain (NT-proBNP) are above certain levels.
- You have not had a heart attack, stroke, or certain heart procedures in the last 3 months.
- Your heart rhythm is stable and you do not have serious arrhythmias or a pacemaker you use regularly.
- You do not have severe lung disease, diaphragm paralysis, or other major health issues.
