Who can take part
- You must be 18 to 85 years old.
- You should have heart failure symptoms like shortness of breath with activity, and your heart's pumping function is mostly preserved (LVEF greater than 40%).
- You need to have elevated BNP or NT-proBNP levels (a blood test that shows heart strain), with specific levels based on your age and whether you have atrial fibrillation.
- You must be on stable heart failure medications (including SGLT2 inhibitors and spironolactone) without changes for at least 14 days.
- You need to have had a recent heart failure hospitalization, needed IV water pills, had high heart pressure measured during a heart catheterization, or have heart chamber enlargement on an echo within the past year or two.
- You cannot have recently been hospitalized (within 7 days), have severe kidney disease (eGFR < 20), very low blood pressure, or certain other heart or lung conditions.
