Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • This is your first knee replacement surgery on that knee, and you have not had prior knee surgery.
  • You are in good health (ASA I or II) and can understand the study instructions and pain scales.
  • You are not allergic to the study drugs and have no history of opioid or alcohol abuse.
  • You have not had a heart attack, stroke, blood clot, or stent placement in the last 6 months.
