  • You have a torn rotator cuff that needs surgery.
  • You are between 17 and 75 years old.
  • You can do a cardiopulmonary exercise test (a test that checks your heart and lungs during exercise).
  • You can follow rehabilitation and fill out questionnaires.
  • You have not had any shoulder surgery in the past.
