Who can take part

  • You have a rotator cuff tear that you and your doctor have chosen to treat without surgery.
  • You can do a cardiopulmonary exercise test (a test that looks at your heart and lungs while you exercise).
  • You are able to follow a rehabilitation program and complete surveys.
  • You have not had any previous surgery on your shoulder.
  • Your rotator cuff tear is not too severe to be repaired with surgery (irreparable).
  • You have not had a re-tear after a surgery called arthroscopic rotator cuff repair (ARCR).
