This trial tests whether a treatment called iontophoresis (using a mild electrical current to deliver medicine through the skin) can reduce pain in people with tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis). If you have had elbow pain for at least 4 weeks and have not had recent treatments like injections or surgery, this study may be an option.

Who can take part

  • You are between 20 and 50 years old.
  • You have pain on the outer side of your elbow that has lasted at least 4 weeks.
  • Touching the bony bump on the outer elbow is tender.
  • At least two tests (Mill test and Thomson test) show signs of tennis elbow.
  • You have not had elbow injections, surgery, or physical therapy in the last 3 months.
  • You do not have a history of elbow or arm fractures, cervical or shoulder issues, both elbows affected, or other major medical conditions listed in the exclusion criteria.
