Pulsed AF Study: PulseSelect Catheter for Afib

This study tests a new way to treat atrial fibrillation (Afib) using a special catheter system called PulseSelect that delivers short bursts of energy to create scar tissue in the heart. It is for people whose Afib comes and goes or stays for a while but not more than a year, and who have not had a prior ablation procedure or have a pacemaker or defibrillator.

Who can take part
- You have atrial fibrillation (Afib) that comes and goes or lasts for a while but not more than 12 months straight.
- You have tried at least one heart rhythm medication that didn't work well, caused side effects, or you chose not to take it.
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have never had a catheter or surgical ablation for Afib in the left upper chamber of your heart.
- You do not have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or implantable heart monitor.
- Your life expectancy is more than 3 years.
