This study will compare different doses of adenosine during a heart MRI to find the best dose for measuring blood flow to the heart muscle. It is for people with known or possible coronary artery disease or heart failure, as well as healthy volunteers.

Who can take part
- You are referred for testing because of suspected or known chest pain (coronary artery disease) or heart failure
- You can avoid all caffeine for at least 24 hours before the scan
- You are between 40 and over 80 years old (the study needs specific numbers of men and women in each age group)
- You do not have asthma, severe COPD, or advanced kidney disease
- You do not have a pacemaker or other metal implants that are not safe for MRI, and you are not claustrophobic
