Who can take part

  • You are referred for testing because of suspected or known chest pain (coronary artery disease) or heart failure
  • You can avoid all caffeine for at least 24 hours before the scan
  • You are between 40 and over 80 years old (the study needs specific numbers of men and women in each age group)
  • You do not have asthma, severe COPD, or advanced kidney disease
  • You do not have a pacemaker or other metal implants that are not safe for MRI, and you are not claustrophobic
