Who can take part
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Your heart's pumping ability (ejection fraction) is 40% or less, measured by an ultrasound of the heart.
- You have been hospitalized for heart failure or are being seen in clinic for heart failure.
- You have not been diagnosed with heart failure before this episode.
- You cannot be pregnant, because the scan uses a small amount of radiation.
- You must not have severe asthma, COPD, or other conditions that make adenosine unsafe for you.
