Who can take part
- You are a woman between 18 and 70 years old
- Your breast cancer is HER2-positive (a certain protein found on the cancer cells)
- Your cancer has spread or come back in a place that cannot be removed with surgery
- You have not had chemotherapy or targeted therapy for advanced disease before, OR you finished adjuvant treatment (after surgery) more than 12 months ago and it was effective
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans
- Your heart function is good (LVEF at least 50%) and your major organs are working well
