Who can take part
- You are between 45 and 65 years old
- You have a chronic lung disease and need pulmonary rehabilitation (a special exercise program to help you breathe better)
- You do not have a tracheostomy (a breathing tube in your neck)
- You do not use oxygen or a ventilator at home
- You have not been hospitalized or had a sudden worsening of COPD in the past 3 months
- You are able to do a cardiopulmonary exercise test (walking on a treadmill or riding a bike while your heart and lungs are monitored)
