Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older and have a breathing tube (ventilator) that will stay in for at least 48 hours.
- You must be getting medication to keep your blood pressure up (like adrenaline).
- Nutrition support (tube feeding) must start within 24 hours of the breathing tube.
- You must be able to walk and have no major memory, spinal, or nerve problems before this illness.
