- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that is locally advanced (cannot be removed by surgery) or has spread to other organs (metastatic).
- You have not had any prior chemotherapy, radiation, or other cancer treatment for this stage of your disease (except a stent to help with bile flow).
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan (like a CT or MRI).
- You are generally active and able to take care of yourself (ECOG score 0 or 1).
- Your major organs (like kidneys, liver, bone marrow) are working well, and you are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant during the study.
