Who can take part

  • You have a type of heart block that affects the upper and lower chambers (atrioventricular conduction block).
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • Your doctor expects you to live for at least one more year.
  • You agree to sign a consent form and share your health information for follow-up.
  • You do not have a very weak heart pump (ejection fraction below 50%) if a lot of pacing will be needed.
  • You do not have long-standing, irregular upper chamber heartbeats (persistent atrial fibrillation) when a lot of pacing is expected.
