Study of Apabetalone for long COVID

Post-Acute COVID-19 Syndrome

This trial tests an experimental drug called Apabetalone for people with long COVID. You may be eligible if you have type 2 diabetes, take or are willing to take dapagliflozin, and have had long COVID symptoms for at least 2 months after your COVID infection.

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have type 2 diabetes and be taking dapagliflozin (or be willing to start taking it)
  • You must have had long COVID symptoms that started within 3 months of your COVID infection and lasted at least 2 months
  • Your long COVID symptoms must significantly affect your daily life (score of 30 or higher on a standard questionnaire)
  • You must have a negative COVID test at the start of the study
  • You must agree to use effective contraception if applicable
