Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 60 years old
  • Have a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 30
  • Have been diagnosed with idiopathic hypersomnia in the last 5 years, with specific sleep test results showing you fall asleep quickly or sleep a lot
  • Have an Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) score of 11 or higher (a measure of daytime sleepiness)
  • Be willing to stop certain other medications for a period before starting the study drug
  • Not have other sleep disorders, heart problems, or certain mental health conditions
