Who can take part
- You have one lung nodule no larger than 3 centimeters (about 1.2 inches)
- The nodule is in the outer part of your lung, not near the center or major blood vessels
- You are at least 18 years old
- You are scheduled for surgery to remove the nodule, and a biopsy confirms it is cancer (lung cancer or cancer that spread from elsewhere) during the procedure
- You do not have bleeding problems or take blood thinners (except aspirin)
