Testing Amino Acid Dialysis Solution for Malnutrition on Peritoneal Dialysis

End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)

Part of Hormones & metabolism, Kidney & urinary, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This trial tests a special peritoneal dialysis solution with amino acids (protein building blocks) to improve nutrition in people on CAPD who are malnourished. It might help boost your protein levels and overall health.

Plant-based diet for nutrition on dialysis

This study tests if eating more plant-based foods can improve nutrition in people on peritoneal dialysis who are underweight or malnourished. Participants will follow a special diet plan and have regular health check-ups for 6 months.

Amino acid dialysis fluid for diabetic patients on PD

This study tests a special dialysis fluid made with amino acids (protein building blocks) instead of the usual sugar-based fluid. It may help control blood sugar and improve nutrition in people with diabetes on peritoneal dialysis.

Testing a new peritoneal dialysis fluid for kidney failure

This Phase 3 trial studies how well a new peritoneal dialysis solution works and whether it is safe. It’s meant for adults with kidney failure who already do a specific type of at-home dialysis.
