Who can take part

  • You are 80 years or older.
  • You are in one of these groups: recently hospitalized for a heart attack, had heart bypass surgery, have high cholesterol with a family history but no heart disease, or had pneumonia while on a ventilator.
  • You do not have a weak immune system (like from cancer treatment or organ transplant drugs).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You are likely to survive past 28 days.
