Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a staph infection in your hip or knee replacement, confirmed by your doctor.
  • You are scheduled for a surgery called DAIR to clean the joint.
  • You are not severely ill or in septic shock.
  • You have a life expectancy of at least one year.
  • You agree to use effective birth control if you or your partner can become pregnant.
