A trial of PLG0206 to prevent knee joint infection after surgery

This trial tests if a new drug called PLG0206 can stop a knee joint infection from coming back after a surgery called DAIR. DAIR cleans the infected area and keeps the artificial knee in place, and this study wants to see if adding PLG0206 helps prevent the infection from returning.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 79 years old.
  • You have a knee joint infection that came back after having a total knee replacement.
  • Your knee replacement is still firmly in place and the soft tissue around it is in good condition.
  • You are having a surgery called DAIR (cleaning out the infected area while keeping the artificial knee) as the treatment for your infection.
  • You agree to use birth control if you are able to become pregnant.
  • You have not had more than 2 previous surgeries to replace parts of your knee.
