Who can take part
- You are 12 years old or older.
- You have a confirmed diagnosis of sickle cell disease (any type, such as HbSS or HbSβ0-thalassemia).
- You have had 2 to 15 pain crises (vaso-occlusive crises) in the past year, and these are documented in your medical records.
- Your hemoglobin level at screening is between 5.0 and 10.0 g/dL.
- You are not on regular blood transfusion therapy and have not had a stem cell transplant or gene therapy.
- You are willing to avoid certain medications (like strong CYP3A4 inducers) during the study.
