Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You must have stage II or III rectal cancer that is dMMR or MSI-H (a certain gene pattern).
  • You cannot have had any cancer treatment before, like chemo, radiation, or immunotherapy.
  • You must be in good general health (able to do daily activities, with a score of 0 or 1 on a standard health scale).
  • Your main organs (heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, bone marrow) must work well, shown by specific blood test results.
  • You cannot have active autoimmune disease, Lynch syndrome, serious heart problems, or certain infections (like hepatitis or HIV).
