Who can take part

  • You have stage II or III rectal cancer (tumor is within 12 cm of the anal opening).
  • You have not had any prior treatment for rectal cancer (like radiation, chemo, or immunotherapy).
  • Your tumor is MSS or pMMR (a specific genetic type).
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old, in generally good health, and able to undergo surgery with curative intent.
  • You have adequate organ function and are willing to provide blood and tumor samples for research.
