Who can take part
- You have MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome) diagnosed by a doctor.
- Your MDS risk category is very low, low, or intermediate (not high or very high).
- You need red blood cell transfusions regularly (about 2–6 bags every 8 weeks).
- You are at least 18 years old and able to give written consent.
- Your activity level is fairly good (ECOG 0–3), meaning you are at least up and about part of the day.
- You are not receiving certain strong cancer treatments (like azacitidine, decitabine, or chemotherapy), and you have no other active cancer (except minor skin cancers or early-stage cervical/breast cancer).
