Who can take part
- You must have liver cancer that has spread into the main vein of the liver (this is called main trunk portal vein tumor thrombus).
- This spread must be causing increased pressure in the liver (portal hypertension) and may have caused bleeding from veins in the esophagus or stomach.
- Your cancer can have up to 5 small spots elsewhere in the body, but in no more than 2 organs.
- You must be starting or already taking lenvatinib and a PD-1 inhibitor as your first cancer treatment for this condition.
- Your liver function must be fairly good (Child-Pugh class A or B) and you should be able to do daily activities with little help (ECOG 0 or 2).
- You cannot have had other cancers in the past and must not have had liver cancer come back after earlier treatment.
