Who can take part

  • Your baby must be born very early, between 24 and nearly 34 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Your baby's breathing support (high-flow nasal cannula) must have been steady for at least 6 hours.
  • Your baby's carbon dioxide levels must have been stable for the last 6 hours.
  • If your baby received surfactant to help their lungs, it must have been at least 6 hours ago.
  • Your baby cannot have any major health problems like a serious infection or bleeding in the brain.
