Who can take part

  • You have severe COPD (GOLD stage III or IV).
  • Your emphysema is patchy, as seen on a CT scan.
  • You are under 75 years old.
  • Your breathing tests show very low lung function (FEV1 below 60% of normal).
  • You cannot have or do not want lung volume reduction surgery, but you are well enough for a bronchoscopy.
  • You can walk less than 450 meters in 6 minutes.
