How Addictive Are Very Low Nicotine Little Cigars?

This study is testing whether little cigars with very low nicotine are less addictive than regular ones. Researchers want to see how smoking these affects your mood, cravings, and smoking behavior.

Who can take part

  • You smoke little cigars, cigarillos, or small cigars regularly (8 or more per month), OR you smoke cigarettes regularly and have tried little cigars or would consider switching if cigarettes weren't available.
  • You can avoid tobacco or nicotine for at least 12 hours before each study visit.
  • You can bring your own brand of little cigars or cigarillos to the first lab visit.
  • You speak English and can understand the study details to agree to take part.
  • You do not have serious lung disease, heart problems, or unstable mental health conditions.
  • You are not planning to quit tobacco in the next 30 days and haven't tried quitting in the past month.
