Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with major depression and your current episode has lasted more than 6 weeks but less than 18 months.
- You are currently taking a single antidepressant (an SSRI or SNRI) at a stable dose for at least 4 weeks, and you've been on it for at least 6 weeks.
- Your depression is still moderate to severe (based on a standard rating scale) despite being on that antidepressant.
- You have no more than mild anxiety (based on a standard rating scale).
- You have not tried more than 2 different SSRI or SNRI antidepressants for this episode.
- You have no history of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or certain other mental health conditions, and no active suicidal thoughts.
