Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You are scheduled for non-emergency lung cancer surgery with a video-assisted thoracoscope.
  • You can understand and rate your pain on a 0 to 10 scale.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 28.
  • You have not had sleep problems like insomnia or sleep apnea, and you are not taking certain medications for seizures, depression, or mental health.
  • You do not have severe heart, liver, or kidney disease, and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
