- You are 35 or older
- You have been diagnosed with a genetic type of high cholesterol (familial hypercholesterolemia) that runs in families
- You are being seen at one of the study hospitals (Nantes, Rennes, or Angers)
- You do not have active hepatitis or other liver diseases
- You do not drink more than 2-3 alcoholic drinks per day
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
