Who can take part
- You must have a glioma that is either newly diagnosed or has come back, and you are scheduled for surgery to remove it.
- You must be at least 18 years old and generally able to care for yourself (Karnofsky score of 70% or higher).
- Your blood counts and organ function (kidney, liver, heart) must be within certain limits.
- You cannot have had certain cancer treatments (like some chemotherapies or radiation) within a few weeks before starting this trial.
- If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must use two forms of birth control during the trial and for 6 months after.
- You must be willing and able to sign a consent form.
