Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a brain tumor (glioblastoma or grade 4 astrocytoma) that has come back or is growing, and you are able to have surgery to remove it
  • You are willing to travel to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for a biopsy and surgery
  • Your kidney, liver, and blood cell counts are within acceptable ranges based on recent tests
  • You are not pregnant, and you agree to use birth control for the study period
  • You have not had certain treatments like chemotherapy or bevacizumab within the last 30 days, and your current steroid dose is low
