Best walking therapy dose after stroke
Part of Brain & nervous system, Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This study tests different amounts of high-intensity walking practice to help people recovering from stroke walk better during inpatient rehabilitation. It may help find the best amount of therapy for regaining walking ability.

This trial tests if high-intensity treadmill training can improve walking speed for people who had a stroke at least 6 months ago. It focuses on those who still walk slowly and may use a walker or cane.
This study tests whether exercise plus motor learning training can improve walking and movement after a stroke that happened more than 6 months ago. You may be a good candidate if you can walk on your own and your stroke-related brain injury is not mainly in the cerebellum.
This study compares two walking therapy programs for people who had a stroke at least 6 months ago. The goal is to see which approach improves walking ability more.
This trial studies a more intensive, early walking exercise program after a stroke. It may help improve walking speed, balance, and the ability to move safely with less support.
This study tests whether exercising more often (high frequency) or less often (low frequency) helps people who had a stroke more than 6 months ago walk better. You'll do high-intensity walking workouts, and the goal is to see which schedule gives the most improvement.
This study looks at how therapy and movement training may help people regain walking and compensate after their first stroke. You may be eligible if you are in the early weeks after stroke and are currently in inpatient rehabilitation, with medical clearance to safely participate in exercise.
