Gene study for kids with pancreas problems

Chronic PancreatitisExocrine Pancreas CarcinomaRecurrent Acute Pancreatitis

Part of Cancer, Digestive system, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.

This study collects samples like blood or tissue from children with pancreatitis to look for gene changes that might raise their risk. It helps doctors learn more about why some children get pancreas inflammation.

Share information and donate tissue samples for pancreatic illnesses

This study collects health information and tissue samples from people with pancreatic cancer or other pancreatic conditions. Your participation may help researchers better understand these diseases and improve future care.

Chronic pancreatitis research biobank with long-term follow-up

This study collects health information and samples over time from people with chronic pancreatitis to learn more about the disease and improve care. It may include endoscopic procedures, which use a thin tube to look at the pancreas.

NCT03853447Recruiting
Study of inflammation changes from pancreas flare to chronic disease

This trial studies how “inflammation” in the pancreas changes over time—going from a first or repeated attack to long-term (chronic) pancreatitis. It may help doctors understand what drives progression and identify people at higher risk for chronic disease.

NCT05733130Recruiting
Registry study for chronic pancreatitis symptoms

This study keeps a medical registry of people with chronic pancreatitis (long-term pancreas inflammation), starting soon after the diagnosis. It helps doctors better understand how the condition begins and progresses in real life.

NCT03568630Recruiting
Blood tests to study early pancreatic cancer risk

This study looks at blood “markers” to find early signs or higher risk for pancreatic cancer. You may join if you have certain risk factors (like new diabetes, pancreatic cysts/pancreatitis, or a strong family history) and can come to Omaha for blood draws twice a year.

Omaha, Nebraska
NCT05878236Recruiting
Blood and scan markers in acute pancreatitis

This study looks at specific blood “immune” signatures and how they relate to outcomes in people with acute pancreatitis. If you enroll early, it may help doctors better predict how the illness will go and identify who might need more care.
