- You have a confirmed case of oral lichen planus (OLP).
- Your OLP is the painful, red, or blistering type (called erosive or bullous).
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You do not have serious health issues like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart, liver, or kidney disease, or active infections.
- You have not used OLP treatments (like steroids) in the last 2 weeks for creams, or 4 weeks for pills or injections.
