Using dynamic chest x-ray to diagnose COPD

Who can take part

  • You are between 30 and 80 years old
  • You have COPD confirmed by a breathing test (FEV1/FVC less than 0.7) with any severity, or you have normal lungs
  • You can stand still and follow breathing instructions for 20 seconds, including holding your breath for at least 7 seconds
  • You do not have a history of cancer, lung surgery, or other lung diseases (like pneumonia or active tuberculosis)
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have not had a large radiation exposure (more than 10 mSv) in the past year
